Serving God

In my daily reading, I ran across these verses in Hebrews 13 specifically Hebrews 12:28-13:19.
Verse 12:28 says that since we have received a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe:  for our God is a consuming fire.  But Hebrews 13 continues by describing what these acts of service are.  I want to list them for you:
Love
                Show hospitality to strangers
                Remember the prisoners

Hold marriage in honor
                Keep the marriage bed undefiled
                                No fornication
                                No adultery

Character
Keep free from love of money
Be content with what you have

Remember the godly leaders who led you and spoke the word of God to you
                Imitate their faith

Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

The heart should be strengthened by grace and not by foods, though those who were so occupied were not benefited.

Offer up a continuous sacrifice
                Of Praise
                Of Thanksgiving
                Doing good
                Sharing

Obey your leaders and submit to them

Pray for the Apostles (or leaders)

These things do not call for you to go across a continental divide to preach the gospel but these are things to do at home, among your friends, coworkers and associates, in your church and at your school.  Do these things in your home in front of your spouse and children.  They are so straight forward they need little explanation.
